Why Study English in Auckland

For Work: Auckland is New Zealand's economic powerhouse, contributing 38% of the nation's GDP, which makes it the largest regional economy in the country. The city is home to big companies that can take your career to the next level. If you are working in the healthcare field, you can apply for a job at Abano Healthcare Group, one of the leading medical services providers in the region. Those working in the aircraft and automotive fields, instead, can apply at Air New Zealand, the biggest international and domestic airline group in the country, which provides air passenger and cargo transport services throughout New Zealand, as well as to and from Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom. All these companies ask their future employees to have an advanced level of English, so start learning with us soon as possible and become proficient in time to apply for your dream job.

For Culture: Auckland is a city full of cultural activities to do all year long. Those interested in knowing more about the history of Auckland can visit an array of museums housing world-class galleries and interactive displays, as well as the world’s largest collection of Māori treasures. Also, discover Auckland’s rich culture and history by participating in one of the free walking tours through the city, where you can observe early colonial architecture and visit historical Māori sites. Another very interesting spot to visit is the New Zealand Maritime Museum on Hobson Street to know more about how sea shaped Auckland’s cultural identity. And if you have an artistic side, you can take a photography walk to see Auckland through a different lens and discover some of the city’s most photogenic spots, from skylines to spectacular landscapes. These activities are delivered in English, so make sure you understand all the information and sign up for a course with us at Language Trainers.

For Social: And if you are looking to make new friends and feel at home in the city, being proficient in English will help. Get started by joining one of the many meet-up groups that exist around the city to make new friends and practise the English you learn in your lessons with us. One great option is the Esquires Coffee Fun English Speaking Club, a language exchange group for people in their 20s and early 30s who want to practise their English, make some new friends and have fun. Another option is to stroll around the city and explore some of Auckland’s gardens, beautiful in any season. From tree-filled parks to the exquisite Parnell Rose Gardens, you will find your perfect place to relax and have a picnic outside.
