Sydney is a multicultural city where more than 200 languages are spoken at home, according to a report published by Statistics Australia in 2016. Even though English is the de facto language, you can hear people on the streets speaking in Greek, Spanish, Mandarin and Arabic, among many others, including Korean. Did you know that there are more than 45,000 speakers of Korean living in Sydney? And, attracted by the business opportunities present in the city, the number of Korean immigrants increases every year. If you would like to communicate with these people and take advantage of the professional opportunities open to Korean speakers, start studying Korean today. Contact us at Language Trainers and book your course.
Learn Korean for Work: Korea is one of Australia’s largest bilateral trading partners and the opportunities for deep engagement and economic success are increasing. If you are looking for a new job at a Korean company, you can get in touch with the Australia-Korea Business Council on Exhibition Street. Since 1978, this institution has been committed to promoting two-way trade and investment with the Republic of Korea. It provides every person interested in networking with Korean entrepreneurs with a forum for the exchange of the latest relevant information on economic, financial and commercial developments. Its board usually organises networking events, such as their annual Joint Meeting, where they celebrate with delicious traditional Korean food. Don’t miss this opportunity to impress Korean businesspeople with your language skills! Also, there are many companies in the city that are always recruiting fluent Korean speakers. Some of them are Microsoft, the Star Entertainment Group and GitLab. Increase your chances of being hired and sign up for a Korean course with Language Trainers today.
Learn Korean for Culture: If you would like to experience the Korean culture as a local without ever leaving Sydney, you can join in the many activities organised by the Korean Culture Centre (KCC) on Elizabeth Street. Established in 2011, its mission is to connect Australia and Korea by deepening their cultural bond. Throughout the year, the KCC offers a variety of cultural programmes which include art exhibitions, film screenings, culinary events and numerous performances for anyone interested in the Korean culture or who wants to become more familiar with Korea. For example, you can attend metalcraft and jewellery classes to learn how to make these ornaments using ancient Korean techniques! Also, cinema-lovers will be happy to know they can attend the Korean Film Festival that has been running since 2009. This festival showcases the wonderful Korean culture through film. Of course, every film presented at the festival screens with English subtitles, but we are sure you will not need them after taking some lessons with us!
Learn Korean for Social: If you are looking to use your new Korean skills to meet new friends, you can join the Sydney Korean Language & Culture Meetup. This language exchange group welcomes everyone who loves Korean food, culture or language. Every week, the organisers host a dinner to have some fun speaking in Korean while enjoying some great food and drinks. Another option is the JD Sundays! Japanese, Korean, English / International Meetup. Members get together every Sunday to make new friends, play beer pong and mostly to practise their Korean in a relaxed atmosphere. These meetings are usually held in themed-restaurants, such as Sydney Madang Korean BBQ on Pitt Street or Danjee on Albion Street. Order your food in Korean and impress your new friends with your language skills!

Our Korean courses are also available for small groups studying together (Two-to-One Korean Course or In-Company Small Group Korean Course). All participants must have the same language needs, be able to study at the same time at the same place and be at the same level. All participants should be booked at the same time. Language Trainers suggest that you do not look for classes with more than 8 students at one time. However, an In-Company Taster Korean Course can contain a maximum of 12 people.
