From the start, Vivian has made an outstanding effort in teaching me Mandarin. She goes out of her way to prepare interesting lessons each week, using PowerPoint presentations, handouts and videos. Each lesson is a balance of fun and learning, which has really helped me to improve my Mandarin. Vivian also assigns homework and assessments each week. Occasionally, we have an excursion as part of class; for example, going to a restaurant and only speaking in Mandarin. Thus, my Mandarin has improved dramatically over the past two years, which I attribute to Vivian's teaching skills and patience.
